Came up in experimental media design, and have honed the arts of information, attention, & delight.
I consider myself flexible, chill, supportive, friendly, collaborative, and a thoughtful, creative, teammate. Nice. Many words. Excellent.
As for being a Designer?
Over 25+ years as a designer, and am ready to return to a leadership role. I bring a human management style that includes the all important “compliment sandwich.” I excel at directing design teams and delivering seriously thoughtful, high-quality work.
My favorite design projects are not the slick, minimal ones — the trendy, or the hip. I love enduring, lasting, impactful design. Think: propaganda. Think: The Barbara Kruger of optimism.
As for being a Human?
I love absorbing energy from the sun. I love learning and synthesizing information into cartoons, scripts, videos, and fresh narratives for sci-fi futures we actually want to live in. When I turned 40 I decided to start running half marathons with my sister. Beach air regulates my nervous system. Mountains remind me I’m a human. I live in Los Angeles’ Leimert Park with my family and way too many animals.
